Mike Rhea is a Director, Portfolio Manager & Client Advisory professional focused on portfolio management and client advisory including multi-asset portfolio construction, alternative investments, and client service. He is a member of the investment team at Cayside Partners, where he contributes to portfolio construction, investment selection, and ongoing investment oversight across private and public markets.

Previously, Mike was a Vice President on the investment team at Optima Asset Management, where he was involved in manager sourcing, investment due diligence, and portfolio management across private markets and multi-manager hedge fund strategies.

Earlier in his career, Mike was an Alternative Investments Director at Morgan Stanley, where he supported the management of approximately $1.5 billion in alternative investment allocations for institutional and ultra-high-net-worth clients, and contributed to the research and ongoing support of two long-only equity portfolios totaling approximately $700 million in AUM.

Mike began his career at Oppenheimer & Co. and brings a disciplined, research-driven approach to investing, with a focus on thoughtful portfolio construction and clear client communication.

Mike earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics, with an emphasis in Finance, from the University of Lynchburg (formerly Lynchburg College), where he was a four-year member of the Division III Men’s Varsity Lacrosse Team.

Outside of the office, Mike enjoys golfing, fishing, and barbequing, and resides in Jupiter, Florida with his wife, Christie, and their golden retriever, Daisy.
